SPAR

SPAR is located 2 minutes walking away from La Girelle Small Hostel. The store isn’t very big, but you can find all the essentials for cooking (fruit and vegetables, tomato sauce, meat, eggs, cakes, etc.).
About the price, it’s not the cheapest store you’re likely to find, but it’s more than worth it if you’re only in Marseille for a few days. On the other hand, if you’re staying at La Girelle for more than a week, we’d advise you to opt for larger, slightly less expensive stores 🙂
Auchan supermarché

Auchan is located 7 minutes walking away from La Girelle Small Hostel. the store is quite bigger compared to the SPAR, but not very big either.
However, it’s perfect for people who want to do their weekly food shopping. Prices are a bit high, but still more affordable than SPAR.

The Casino is located 15 minutes away by public transport from La Girelle small hostel (take the B1 bus from the “Ste Trinité” stop in the direction of Luminy P.N Calanques and get off at the “CC Valmente” stop. You can also get there in 21 min. by foot.The store is very large. You’ll find absolutely everything you need (meat, fruits, vegetables, pasta, rice, cakes, fish, etc.).
As for prices, they’re fair and we think it’s a good place to shop your food for the week, or the month for example, if you pass there by bus.
Leclerc

The Casino is located 15 minutes away by public transport from La Girelle small hostel (take the 23 bus from the “Barquière Martheline” stop in the direction of Beauvallon and get off at the “CC Sormiou” stop. You can also get there in 31 min. by foot.The store is very large. You’ll find absolutely everything you need (meat, fruits, vegetables, pasta, rice, cakes, fish, etc.).
As for prices, it’s maybe the less expensive store of the list. We think it’s a good place to shop your food for the week, or the month for example.
